Mama and baby…happy to be together
(baby’s face is blue because he bruised it by being born so fast!)
Daddy and son
We sure do love you, Bubba!
You were a very welcome surprise to our family and we are so grateful that God blessed us with you! You are sweet, loving and funny. You are smart and clever. You are a mischief maker and a temper tantrum thrower. You are one of the four greatest things that ever happened to us.
Happy Birthday, “D”.

“K” was cold so she had on 1 pair of long sleeve, long pant pj’s ;1 pair of short sleeve, short pant pj’s ; and a bath robe. She piled the pillows on the floor in front of the air vent so she would be warm. Notice the red, sweaty face? LOL!

Thanks, Jennifer! This is going to be lots of fun! I can’t wait to be inspired by all the savings!

I am working in my kitchen this week and for this Tackle It Tuesday I decided to work on one of my cabinets. This is the one that holds my baking supplies and it has just gotten W-A-Y out of hand. Here’s the “Before” picture:

What do we have here? Mommy’s little helper!

We’re making progress…

All done!

I love seeing what everyone is doing on Tackle It Tuesday
Why don’t you visit, too and then tell us what you tackled today?
How are you this beautiful spring day? The sun is shinning, the breeze is blowing and the birds are singing, can it get any better?

The above picture is the view from my front door. It was just so pretty outside I wanted to capture it. One day I plan to fill that corner with azaleas and hosta and other shade loving flowers. One thing at a time, though :-)

Today I’ve been a bit busy. I got the kids up and off to school and made the beds and cleaned the kitchen. I opened windows and turned on fans. Ahhh…the breeze is so sweet and cool!

I’ve got laundry washing and drying right now. I’ve decided I need a clothes line and that is the next “project” I want to work on.

I also started de-cluttering my kitchen. I cleaned out 2 cabinets yesterday and today I cleaned out the silverware drawer and the drawer that holds my cooking utensils. Boy, did those drawers need it. Maybe later I’ll clean out another cabinet or some more drawers.

Do you know about HouseParty.com? They sponsor parties to promote different items. You sign up to be a host and they send you items pertaining to the party. I’ve been chosen to be a host for a SC Johnson’s party! The picture below is what they sent me in the party package!

  • 1 Pledge® Multi-Surface Duster
  • 15 duster refills
  • 1 Eco-friendly multi-use tote
  • 1 Kitchen Timer (not pictured)
  • 1 Refrigerator magnet (not pictured)
  • 15 “Fresh and Inviting” Booklets with household tips, recipes and coupons
  • 15 Grocery pads
  • 15 Glade® fragrance samplers
  • 30 Party napkins
Isn’t that cool? I’m going to share with my family when they come up for my son’s birthday party on Sunday. Maybe I can talk them into trying out the duster and doing a little spring cleaning at my house while they are here?

Well, the laundry calls, so I must go.

I hope you all have a blessed day!

For this “Frugal Friday” I have a question for you????

Is it more cost effective to use an dishwasher or to hand wash and dry your dishes?
Do you know? Do you have an opinion? I’d love to know what you think :-)

Share your “Frugal Friday” ideas at Biblical Womanhood!

Here is my Super Savings Story!

We are super excited about this! We’ve been going to the free summer movies for several years now. It’s a huge treat for us. There is NO WAY our family of 6 can afford a night out at the movies so we wait to see the kids movies when they come out in the summer. I’m going to jot these down on my calendar today so we won’t miss any of the fun.

Click on the “free family film festival” picture above to find the movies showing in your area!

Triples!!!

It’s Time!

Triples at Harris Teeter! Boy howdy, I love it!

I don’t have a Harris Teeter in my area, but I be-bop up to Hendersonville, NC and take advantage of their Harris Teeter.

Looks like my beloved hubby and “D” will be going with me.
I love it!

I’ll be back tomorrow with the low-down on my deals!

I’m done!

Before:
(not really, but it felt this bad!)

After:

Yea! All the laundry is done and put away. Sheets, blankets, quilts, towels, clothes, washing and drying rags…

all done!
